Discover The Barn at Elk Shoal Creek, a charming rustic wedding venue in Claremont, NC. Nestled by a creek on 55 acres, our recently restored 1942 barn has a "Shabby Chic" style, exuding charm and romance. Offering multiple ceremony sites and comprehensive wedding packages for your special day.

"Welcome to your Wedding Wonderland"

Comfortably accommodating up to 180 guests, we have an abundance of ceremony locations to choose from including the creek side, hilltop, patio, or any area of the 55 acres of lush green pastures. Just in case the weather does not cooperate, we also offer the perfect "Rain Plan" inside of our stunning barn loft for your barn wedding.

Wedding Packages

Fairytale

 Friday/Saturday package including:

  • Access to the barn and grounds on Friday from 12pm-8pm and Saturday all day from 9am-11pm
  • 19 60" round tables, 8 6ft rectangular tables, 2 8ft rectangular serving tables, 12 cocktail tables, 1 round glass top table, 1 round whiskey barrel cake or gift table, one whiskey barrel bar/table, and one 6.5ft wooden farmhouse table.
  • 150 White, garden wedding chairs
  • 28 Chiavari chairs
  • Deco-closet with toppers, runners, etc.
  • Several ceremony sites to choose from
  • Climate control
  • Separate Groom's Quarters
  • Several arbor styles to choose from
  • List of preferred vendors but freedom to choose your own
  • Parking attendants and Golf cart shuttle to and from parking area
  • Cake and gift table
  • Caterer prep kitchen with 500lb ice machine, sink, refrigerator, prep counter and bar area
  • Patio heaters 
  • Large Fire Pit area
  • Use of property for bridal photoshoot for up to 2 hours at no additional cost (must be scheduled in advance)

Enchanted Fairytale

Includes all of the above plus 

  • Staff throughout entire event to manage trash cans, and we will provide final trash removal at the end of the event, (clients are still responsible for cleaning up and ensuring all trash is in cans)
  • Use of cocktail barn with lounge seating area
  • Choice of white, beige, or cream linens
  • Use of fire pit attended by staff

Enchanted Fairytale Deluxe

Includes all of the above plus

  • Day of coordination and Directing entire event
  • Venue will do all trash clean up during and after event

Royal Fairytale

Includes all of the above plus 

  • Design and decorating done by our in-house certified wedding planner and designer for both the wedding and reception.

Micro Weddings

The barn offers micro wedding options for up to 30 guests also available, details provided upon request.

Other Events

When not in use for weddings, we are happy to provide pricing and services for other special occasions including corporate events, graduation celebration, bridal showers, baby showers and reunions. However, these events cannot be scheduled more than 60 days in advance. 

Event Insurance

Event insurance is required for each rental. Although, we do carry liability insurance for the Barn At Elk Shoal Creek this event insurance protects the client and their guests in case of injury or excess damage to the property. Event Insurance typically costs on average $75 to $150, depending on the number of guests and if you serve alcohol. Most insurance agencies will offer this coverage, and there are online options. (If you need help with securing the event insurance, we are happy to assis
